Cro-Magnon 1 is a fossilized human skull of the sub-species Homo sapiens sapiens. It was discovered, with other Cro-Magnon specimens, in Les Eyzies, France by Louis Lartet in 1868.[1]
It is dated to 27.680±270 Before Present (BP). The cranial cavity measures 1,600 cubic centimeters (cm3).[1] The capacity of a modern adult human's cranial cavity is 1,200-1,700 cm3.[2]
